PRESENTATION
The course provides the basic elements to design and implement an empirical project. The course is organized in three parts. The first part aims to prepare students to write, organize, and present an empirical paper. The second part shows how to create a database and how to collect data from various data sources at the individual, regional, or country level. The third part is devoted to the study of basic statistical methods and their practical application. During the whole course, the student is asked to use a statistical software to replicate the analysis presented during the classes and to prepare the final exam. The course will be taught in English.
