PRESENTATION

Welcome to the "Organisational Design and Behaviour" course!

Proper organisational structure and design are essential to improve and enhance communication, sustainability and innovation which are some of the crucial aspects of a successful organisation.  Hence, creating an environment in which people can work effectively remains challenging for organisations.

This course is an introduction to organisational theories and in particular to organisational design and behaviour. It aims at discussing organisational architectures and the challenges associated with them, concerning the everchanging environment and thus a critical need for change

One of the challenges and at the same time the facilitators for a modern organisation is the pre-eminence of innovative mobile Information and Communication Technologies (mICT). Not only does mICT enable innovative ways to produce and distribute goods and services more efficiently, but it also facilitates the innovation processes bringing new problem-solving ideas into use.

This course will provide some answers to these new challenges through an overview of the most influential theoretical perspectives & techniques through the lenses of empirical approaches.

Therefore, this course represents an excellent opportunity to initiate you into an in-depth understanding of organisational thinking by looking at the timeline of history and its effects on today’s business world and the one of tomorrow.
