PRESENTATION

Organization theory gives us the tools to analyze and understand why and how a huge, powerful firm like the American banking giant like Lehman Brothers can die and a company like Google can emerge almost as a giant in the digital industry. It enables us to comprehend how a music band like the Rolling Stones, which operates like a highly sophisticated global business organization, can enjoy phenomenal success for nearly half a century, while some musical groups with equal or superior talent don’t survive past a couple of hit songs.

So, the aim of the organization theory course is to helps us to understand what happened in the past, as well as what may happen in the future, so that we can manage organizations more effectively.

The purpose of this course is to explore the nature of organizations and organization theory today. Organization theory has a practical application. It helps managers understand, diagnose, and answer to emerging organizational needs and problems.

Understand the main theories of organization and their evolutions.
Explain how organization theories could contribute to the way of management in nowadays and future for an organization to be most effective.
Understand the relations of control and coordination in diverse organizational designs. Understand the importance and concept of organizational culture in related to different organizational designs.
