PRESENTATION

Whatever your professional future, in academic research, in industry, in public sector, or other, project management will always be a must-have skill.

The course aims at providing the participant with project management methods and tools as described by the Project Management Institute.

The course will be articulated in two complementary parts:

  • A part focused on principles, where we will go through the five Project Management Process Groups and we will see key aspects, activities, tools and techniques of project management. The main responsibilities of a project manager will be discussed, and the most common challenges met during the project life cycle will be presented. The students will learn tips and best practices to better manage their projects.
  • A part focused on practice, which will allow students to come back on ideas presented in the previous part, while testing different collaborative approaches and focusing on real use cases.

At the end of this course, the students will be better prepared to take on their first projects!
