PRESENTATION

Welcome to the "Organisational Design and Behaviour" course!

Proper organisational structure and design are essential to improve and enhance communication, productivity and innovation which are some of the crucial aspects of a successful organisation.  Hence, the challenge for organisations is to create an environment in which people can work effectively.

This course is an introduction to organisational theories and in particular to organisational design and behaviour. It aims at discussing organisational structures and the challenges associated with them, especially with regard to new technological advances. As technology has a significant impact on organisations, we will discuss the impact of technology on organisational design using real cases of contemporary companies.

The lectures will be given by Lise Arena (Associate Professor in Management Sciences and Director of the Master in Digital Strategy) and Marta Ballatore ( PhD candidate at EUR DS4H (Digital Systems for Humans) and lecturer at EUR ELMI).
