PRESENTATION

This module will introduce you to the main concepts of structural biochemistry.

We'll cover experimental

  •     techniques,
  •     biophysics,
  •     structural bioinformatics
  •     molecular modeling (homology modeling, drug design, molecular dynamics),

In addition, we will study examples of macro-molecular assemblies and their dynamics.

  • analyze biological sequences,
  • master the biochemistry of proteins and membranes,

OBJECTIVES

By the end of this course, I should be able to...
  • Carry out a molecular modeling project, starting with a structural study of a protein sequence and proposing a structural model using bioinformatics tools such as homology modeling.

  • 3h final exam with documents (2 subjects) and a molecular modeling project (structural study of a protein sequence with proposal of a structural model using bioinformatics tools such as Homology Modeling).
